Bar Plus opened it's doors, for the first time, on the same day of Chelmsford Pride festival on the 22nd June 2025. The Pride organisers kindly gave us a last minute opportunity to get up on stage and inform the Pride audience that we were about to open Chelmsford's only dedicated LGBTQIA bar. 

Bar Plus are proud to work with Essex Pride. We received warmth and joy from the organisers when they heard that we were about to open Chelmsford's only LGBTQIA venue. We are repaying our gratitude by sponsoring the charity organisation . 

21st of June 2025 will be Bar Plus's first birthday, and the date of Essex Pride's march and festival in Central Park, Chelmsford. This is the most important day in our diary and we plan to make the day better than last year. A year on and we are better equipped for the vast numbers that attend.
